The use of LED technology reduces electricity costs and overall energy consumption. The main advantage of LED lighting is that it’s energy-efficient and, for this reason, seen as environmentally friendly. Compared to standard lighting, LED fixtures use up to 10 times less electricity without producing any heat.
Designer Outlet Sosnowiec uses a centrally-controlled LED system to illuminate the entire interior of the centre and the car park.
We work to minimise our total waste production and encourage recycling. The centre provides appropriate recycling containers.
With electric vehicle users in mind, we have installed a charging station in Designer Outlet Sosnowiec. There are 4 easy-to-use chargers at your disposal, so you can charge your car while shopping!
The green spaces at Designer Outlet Sosnowiec have been built to BREEAM guidelines. The meadow, the greenery around the pond, and the nature trail leading from the pond to the car park area planted with shrubs and trees were all designed to protect the ecosystem.
All toilets and urinals in the centre are fitted with technology that conforms to the highest standards of the BREEAM In Use certificate, enabling optimised water consumption.

The 2020 Hooked on cycling with Designer Outlet Sosnowiec!Riding for prizes! competition was not just about health and prizes. The kilometres travelled were converted into money and donated to the Las Na Zawsze Foundation.
Thanks to the distance covered by the participants, we planted 1,667 m2 of Forever Forest 3, a permanent forest in the village of Męcikał in the Pomeranian Province! They are called ‘permanent forests’, because the Foundation protects the legal status of the land on which they are grown to ensure that they are legally secured and that future generations will be able to enjoy the majestic trees.
A container for unworn clothing and textile fabrics has been installed at the centre. You can leave clothes that are no longer used or needed. When going shopping simply take your clothes with you and toss them into the container. All the collected garments will be reused. Items of the best quality are left in the original condition and resold to second hand shops and the rest are recycled.
The reuse process is supervised by Fundacja Eco Textil.
Insects are the foundation of most ecosystems. Some of them pollinate flowers, while others help decompose organic waste. Inspired by their work, we have installed bug hotels around our centre to help our ecosystem remain self-sustaining.
